Our Location

Sakura Ishi began her fascination with the art of movement as a young student of ballet. She decided to move to the United States from her native Japan to further explore her love of dance. She was introduced to Pilates by Dr. Karen Clippinger at California State University at Long Beach, where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance. After graduating, Sakura returned to Japan and performed as a Butoh-inspired contemporary dancer.
