Long Beach Dance Conditioning (LBDC) is a place where teaching is an art and your body transforms.

The environment and ambiance at our studio reflects and supports the importance of mind body connection. This focus assists in the mastery of our teaching goals. Long Beach Dance Conditioning incorporates two unique approaches to body conditioning:

An Intimate Study of the Foot
Full foot contact work is the foundation for all other body movement. This workshop studies techniques for using the Jumpboard (or footplate) in a closed kinetic chain approach to deepening the level of your strength and balance.

Objectives

  • Retraining and reinforcing proper movement patterns of the whole body via the “foundation” of the body through full foot contact work.
  • Gain a better understanding of the foot:
    • As the foundation of the body.
    • As the relationship to the pelvic structures reinforcing Core connections.
  • Optimal foot placement with dynamic alignment support.
  • Identifying and improving the bone rhythms during footwork whole body integration.
  • Progression to the jump and the teaching technique guiding proper biomechanics.
