Mat Modules

Mat 1 & 2 - Mastering the Mat (3 days per module; 9-6pm)
Maximizing the Safe Zone for Core Stability Techniques, a Stepping Stone for Equipment Repertoire
Mat Exercises from Core Intelligence through the traditional repertoire. Students learn to move with the required strength, flexibility and freedom first in preparation for equipment use with resistance. Mat exercise repertoire will permit you to lead group classes and offer workout options for your clients at any level of proficiency and ability. The core intelligence component incorporates suitable material for pre- and post-maternity and back care.
Objectives:
- Accurately assess client needs and incorporate effective mat programs to optimize client results.
- Learn to assist each mat exercise through hands-on guidance.
- Determine how and when to progress client programs and how to determine client readiness to move from mat to equipment.
- Gain exposure to the language of teaching, using imagery and touch to communicate movement.
