Long Beach Dance Conditioning (LBDC) is a place where teaching is an art and your body transforms.

The environment and ambiance at our studio reflects and supports the importance of mind body connection. This focus assists in the mastery of our teaching goals. Long Beach Dance Conditioning incorporates two unique approaches to body conditioning:

  • Pilates
  • GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM®

Mat Module 1, Agenda Print E-mail

Mat Certification (2 Parts) with Kendel Pink
Pre-requisite for Mat Certification Modules:
Core Intelligence

Part I : Mat I*
Dates: March 4 – 6, 2011 or July 15 – 17, 2011
Times: 9am – 6pm daily
Tuition: $450 includes manual

Part II: Mat II*
Dates: March 25 – 27, 2011 or August 5 – 7, 2011
Times: 9am – 6pm daily
Tuition: $450 includes manual

Note: the last day of each part of Mat Series, there will be a test out at no additional charge.

Daily check-in begins at 8:30am with the course starting promptly at 9:00am and concluding at 6:00pm. The day will also include a 40-minute lunch period and 2 ten  minute break periods. The exact times will be determined each day.

  • Working Beyond the Core
  • Introduction and Biomechanics of Exercises - Sequence 1
    • Active Partner Teaching - Sequence 1
  • Homework/Study Assignment

  • Group Mat Class- Core & Sequence 1 Integration
  • Introduction and Biomechanics of Exercises - Sequence 2
    • Active Partner Teaching - Sequence 2
  • Introduction and Biomechanics of Exercises - Sequence 3
    • Active Partner Teaching - Sequence 3
  • Introduction and Biomechanics of Exercises - Sequence 4
    • Active Partner Teaching - Sequence 4
  • Lecture: Movement Flow and Sequencing
  • Homework/Study Assignment
